| BIOGRAPHY |
Janis Lander is an artist, writer and teacher. She is represented in private collections in Australia and overseas, including Germany, France and U.S.A. She has been selected to exhibit in curated shows - in the US, in Thailand, and in Australia.
Her subjects include landscapes, Portraits and other figurative works. Her meditation pieces reflect a life-long involvement with yoga.
Janis began to exhibit and sell her work in regional shows in her teens, and, apart from a six-year hiatus when she was raising her children, has produced a large body of work in different media: oil on canvas; pastels/charcoal on paper; and intaglio etching Printmaking techniques.
Janis is currently Researching a doctoral thesis in spiritual art at the College of Fine Arts, UNSW, where she is contributing editor of The College Voice, an online arts magazine. � |
